From IMDb:
Teenagers Reg, Skip, Julie and Pam go out for an afternoon of water skiing on a nice day. They come ashore on an island that is being used as a testing center for a scientist and agents from "an eastern power." They seek to turn the people of the United States into easily controlled zombie like creatures. The agents steal Reg's boat, stranding the teens on the island. The four friends are then held captive in cages able only to speculate on their fate. Though they have already been testing the formula on convicts and drunks, the enemy scientist and agents plan to conduct final tests on the teens before they use it on the rest of America. Meanwhile, two of their friends, whom the captives had planned to meet later, search for their missing friends. After a series of suspicious encounters, they urge the corrupt sheriff to search the island where their friends are trapped.

Subject: this is almost a movie about boating
Teenage Zombies is a “horror” movie about not-exactly teenagers who are turned into not-exactly zombies for about three minutes.

The rest of the time, it’s a movie about walking and boating, walking while looking for a boat, walking toward or away from a boat, boating in order to go walking… hold on a sec–gotta catch my breath… walking on the bow of a boat, and dragging a boat on or off the shore.

There are also some very exciting off-screen water-skiing sequences, as well as some imaginary horses.

In between the privileged rich-kid transportation, there’s a plan to turn all Americans into mindless slaves, orchestrated by a group whose motives are apparently so diabolical they couldn’t be discussed on film.

The movie also prominently features:

* Gorilla costumes
* Soggy tennis shoes
* Scraggly dead trees
* Shutter-mounted telephones
* The world’s biggest door knocker
* Inappropriate evening wear
* a highly-concentrated serum with near-zero consistency from one test subject to the next
* and someone named Felix!

My friends and I wrote a funny commentary track for the movie, which you can learn more about here:

Well....if your loking for 50's goofball garbage, bonanza! it doesn't get and worse than this, asthis turkey approaches " Plan 9 " criteria. The Fem Fatale group leader from the " East " however is a 50's hottie! hubba hubba

Teenage Zombies had no entertainment value whatsoever. Not even enough for an unintentional laugh. Pretty bad.

For any fan of z movies thia is a must-see. I am overjoyed this flick survived. I laughed through the whole thing, then watched it twice more. The faults with the quality only add to the ambience of the piece. You will groan and moan and laugh and thoroughly enjoy yourself!

Subject: I've seen worse:
I've seen worse, much worse. The saving graces were the tres chic female villain and the hilariously choreographed fight scene at the end.

This is a dreadful film. The zombies are classic drugged slave labor zombies-not the back-from-the-dead-to-eat-your-brain kind. The teenage zombies of the title are "zombified" for less than 3 minutes at nearly the END of the film. The island is supposed to be some 30 miles from land, but in several shots of the shoreline, you can clearly see that it is about 200 yards away. This film must have been made as one of those pictures where the youth of the day went to make out in the back row, knowing most adults would steer clear of this stinker.

Subject: Not bad...
Fun loving, wholesome teenagers become entangled in a commie plot to turn Americans into zombies. For a low budget b-movie this is pretty good compared to many I've seen. The acting is poor and there are several continuity problems, but the story is coherent except of course for the scientific dialog.

The scientist in charge of the zombies dresses in evening gowns whether outside shepherding them or working in the lab. Plus there's a funny fight scene towards the end.

I downloaded the mpeg1 file. The audio is good. The video shows that it was made from an old print with streaks, various marks and dirt. There are missing frames here and there.
